The Peace Of A Simple Swaddle Blanket

Very seldom can you ever find a parent, mom or dad, that will remember enjoying the sound of hearing their new born infant crying. Those terrible cries are just too much for the tender hearts of most new parents, so in order to comfort our sweet new babies, we will try everything we can think of, including pacing up and down with the baby in our arms in the wee hours of the morning. Just when you think you can’t go another minute without sleep, and listening to your new little baby cry, you need to reconsider the methods you are using to calm him or her. This is the time to try swaddling blankets, if you haven’t already. You are likely to be surprised at how effective they can be.

The unborn child spends nine months in a tight, secure, comforting, warm environment and a swaddle blanket can recreate that same tight, secure, comforting warm environment which will then help your new born to reclaim those feelings that are most important and familiar to them in their new outside world.

Large receiving blankets work just as well for swaddling as blankets made specifically for that purpose, so keep your mind open when looking for something to use. Experienced swaddlers make it look easy, but when you are brand new, it may take a few tries to really perfect that tight, snuggly swaddle. Fortunately, both you and your baby will benefit once you do. Just one of the many things that may improve with an effective swaddle, is the upset tummy, a common problem for little babies. Swaddling helps by putting a very gentle pressure on the tummy area, which helps to dissipate any gas which has collected, and is causing baby discomfort.

One of the reasons babies sometimes can’t fall asleep easily is that they are unaccustomed to the feeling of freedom in their limbs; they prefer that tight, secure, snuggly sensation provided by their tightly wrapped swaddle blankets. The comforting wrap will feel like safety to them and will reward you, the parent, will peace and joy knowing that your infant is once again at peace with their surroundings.

Then when the little angels are calm and your peace returns to you then you can open up the amazing swaddle blanket and once again introduce space into the world of your infant. With your new found peace and your love the space can become bigger and bigger but when the need arises you can once again rely on the comfort and security of the perfect swaddle blanket and the miracle of peace will happen for you both.
